We are looking for an experienced (Sr.) IC Design Engineer to join our team on a mission to change the world one innovation at a time.
Job description and info
We are looking for a team member who
- Wants to disrupt the industry with us and participate in product development more holistically. As an IC Design Engineer, you will contribute to KYOCERA Technologies’ technology development to change the world with our groundbreaking MEMS resonator technology which will revolutionize the timing industry.
- Has a M.Sc. or similar degree in electronics engineering, applied physics, or a related field
- Has IC design experience including
- Understanding of IC design processes and IC manufacturing technologies
- Familiarity with MPW runs and scaling to production
- Analog IC design skills including
- simulation and modeling skills with modern tools
- experience of IC characterization
- understanding production testing and validation
- IC layout design experience
- Has hands on experience of IC testing and prototype building
- Knows how to define system level specifications and other key parameters for IC design and manufacturing
- Analog IC design including oscillator design experience and phase noise simulations and measurements
- Is a self-motivated and innovative team player. You have strong problem solving skills & urge for personal development
- Has strong product-development-oriented mindset, problem solving capability and fluent English.
- Has a strong desire to find ways to add value to Kyocera customers
- Understanding of IC design processes and IC manufacturing technologies
Your responsibilities in this position include…
- Development of ASICs for MEMS products and simulations
- Close collaboration with MEMS development teams
- Managing of MPW runs
- Communication with internal and external stakeholders including customers
- IC troubleshooting and characterization
What we appreciate
- Experience of working on MEMS related R&D and Technology understanding including MEMS and modern packaging technologies
- Knowledge of ASIC design for MEMS
- Proven experience of practical IC development from prototype to production
- Experience of working with IC foundries
- Digital HW design skills including knowledge of using microcontrollers and FPGA circuits
- Experience in project management and agile methodologies such as scrum.

MEMS Test Development Engineer
We are looking for an experienced MEMS Test Development Engineer to join our team on a mission to change the world one innovation at a time.

We are looking for a team member who
- Wants to disrupt the industry with us and have a great impact in product development. As a MEMS Test Development Engineer, you will contribute to KYOCERA Technologies’ technology development to change the world with our groundbreaking MEMS resonator technology which will revolutionize the timing industry
- Has a M.Sc. or similar degree in electronics engineering, applied physics, or a related field
- Has wide hands-on experience on PCB design and prototyping in particular using discrete electronic components
- Has good skills in programming including embedded systems
- Has experience in designing and building experimental test setups
- Has proven experience on wafer level testing setups and related test automation
- Is a self-motivated and innovative team player, and has strong problem-solving skills and urge for personal development
- Has strong product-development-oriented mindset
Your responsibilities in this position include…
- Development of wafer level characterization techniques for MEMS devices
- Developing prototypes and demonstrators based on MEMS and discrete electronic components
- Hands-on wafer level characterization, and electronics design and assembly
- Communication with internal and external stakeholders including customers
What we appreciate
- Previous experience of working on MEMS related R&D
- Oscillator design experience
- Diverse understanding of measurement techniques related to MEMS sensors
- Experience on vacuum techniques
- Experience on environmental and reliability testing and MSA knowhow
- Data analysis skills
- Experience in project management and agile methodologies such as scrum.
