Engineering Team Lead – MEMS Technology and Products

APPLY

Job description and info

Lead a multidisciplinary engineering team developing MEMS resonators and timing products—from technology and product concepts toward industrialization and volume production.

We are looking for an experienced technical leader who combines strong people leadership with sound business judgement. You will lead a team of design, process and test engineers and help turn deep technical expertise into products that create customer and business value.

This is a hands-on leadership role in a focused R&D organization. You will set direction, coach experts, make priorities visible and ensure that product and technology development programs deliver meaningful results. You will work across disciplines and collaborate with colleagues, partners and customers in an international environment.

Your responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary team of MEMS design, process and test engineers.
  • Build a high-performing team culture based on ownership, collaboration, open communication and continuous improvement.
  • Plan and prioritize engineering resources across the product and technology portfolio, balancing short-term delivery with long-term capability building.
  • Own the execution of selected product and technology development programs, including objectives, schedules, risks, decisions and stakeholder communication.
  • Contribute to product and technology roadmaps by connecting technical opportunities with customer needs, competitive positioning and business priorities.
  • Strengthen engineering practices and core development processes, including design reviews, learning cycles, documentation and knowledge sharing.
  • Communicate progress, risks and recommendations clearly and in a timely manner to management and other stakeholders.
What we expect

What we are looking for

You do not need to meet every criterion. We are particularly interested in your ability and motivation to grow into the full scope of the role.

  • Sc. or Ph.D. in engineering, physics or another relevant field.
  • Strong technical understanding of semiconductor or MEMS technologies and industrial development environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people, build trust, give direction and develop both individuals and the team.
  • A business-oriented mindset: you can connect engineering choices with customer value, product requirements, cost, schedule and risk.
  • Experience in technology or product development, preferably from concept through industrialization or product ramp-up.
  • A results-oriented and structured way of working, with the judgement to make priorities and trade-offs explicit.
  • Drive, passion and enthusiasm for developing people, technology and products, combined with the ability to inspire others around a shared direction.
  • A proactive and self-driven approach: you identify what needs to be done, take initiative and turn ideas into action, while encouraging the same ownership in the team.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication and documentation skills in English.

  • We consider the following an advantage
  • A track record in developing and commercializing MEMS, semiconductor or timing products.
  • Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing, quality, reliability and product qualification.
  • Experience in project, program or portfolio management.
  • Experience in customer-facing technical work, product management or business development.
  • Familiarity with agile or other iterative development practices, applied pragmatically in an R&D environment.
How to apply

What we offer

  • A central leadership role in developing advanced MEMS resonator and timing technologies and products.
  • A unique vantage point across the full journey from R&D and product definition to industrialization and mass production.
  • The agility and ownership of a focused technology company, supported by the resources, expertise and customer reach of a global organization.
  • The opportunity to influence our technology, products, ways of working and team culture.
  • A flexible and inspiring working environment, excellent colleagues and competitive employee benefits.
  • Broad opportunities to deepen your technical, leadership and business capabilities.
